Description

This charming hotel is located 15 minutes drive from the town of Ronda. Holms oaks - walnut, almond, olive and fruit trees, and various flowering bushes surround the property. The only perceptible noise in the valley are birdsongs and murmuring streams.  It´s a very peaceful place.

The hotel was built on a lands which were once a Moorish settlement. Its decor reflects this history: Romanesque columns, rustic floors, antiques, paintings, books.  An ideal retreat for couples.

There is a natural swimming pool on the farm that was used by the Moors as water cistern.  There is also a modern pool with waterfall and gardens that recall the gardens of the Generalife within the Alhambra complex.

Ronda is one of Andalusia's most beautiful towns, steeped in history. It stands on a towering plateau in the mountains of the Malaga Province, and is famous throughout Spain for the deep river gorge which divides the medieval town from the 18th century town. This gorge is known as "El Tajo" and is spanned by a stone bridge, which once housed a prison. Visitors love to peer down into the gorge, to see the waters of the River Guadalevin. Ronda is also famous for its Maestranza bullring, the oldest, and the most beautiful in Spain; the arena itself is also the country's largest. When there are no fights, the bullring is open to visitors, and has a fascinating museum with many mementos of Spain's most renowned bullfighters. Ronda is located 50 km – 1 hour's drive - from San Pedro de Alcantara on the Coast. The road winds up through the mountains of the Sierra Bermeja, and then descends into the Serrania de Ronda and the town itself. One of the most charming and fascinating towns in Andalusia, it is very popular with day-trippers from the Costa del Sol, and has a wide range of cafes, shops, restaurants and bars. However, it retains all of its traditional charm and languid atmosphere.
