The stylish accommodation was modern minimalist with wood floors, satellite TV, two backlit closets with brushed glass doors, free mini-bar, and the bathroom was well sized with strong water pressure. Large windows and a sliding glass door looked out to the sea and the ports lighthouse was visible -- a nice sized balcony with chairs allowed us the opportunity to be outside as much as we wanted to, and with the incredible views it was a nice place to relax after a days worth of activities. The service was friendly, bilingual, and always willing to accommodate. Every morning the sleek dinning room offered a large Spanish breakfast with many varieties of sliced Spanish meats (ham, etc.), eggs cooked to order, fruit, Spanish cheeses, breads, pastries, coffee and juice. For warm days -- and there are many in Málaga -- the hotel offers a rooftop pool, lifeguard, and sun deck. From this high-up location the whole city can be viewed in panoramic form. The privacy, sparkling pool, the deck and view made for relaxing afternoons. This hotel was a pleasing combination of contemporary design, solid service, nice rooms, rooftop pool, and good Spanish foods.
While visiting Malaga don’t miss the cathedral, the Alcazaba (Arab fortress), the Arab Baths, the Roman Theatre, and the newly opened Picasso Museum: the famous artist was born in Malaga. Interesting day trips include Ronda where the oldest bullring in Spain can be found: the villages of Minas and Marcella: and the town of Antequera famous for its enormous dolmens and distinctive old quarter.
