*** GREAT VALUE Paradores Tours. CLICK HERE ***
This fine ancestral home, now the Parador de Tordesillas, is located 18 miles from Valladolid in the historical Castilian town of Tordesillas. Tordesillas has been an important crossroads since Roman times and boasts a lovely arcaded plaza.
The Parador features 71 en-suite bedrooms some of which contain valuable antiques from the country mansions of the area. The style of architecture that dominates throughout is the traditional Castilian style.
The peacefulness which reigns throughout the building invites one to rest or perhaps enjoy a swim in the heated indoor pool. There is also a jacuzzi. The more energetic can work out in the gym and afterwards take a stroll in the beautiful pine grove and spacious, well cared for garden that surrounds the Parador.
Dinner can be enjoyed in the Parador´s own rstaurant which specialises in regional dishes. Among the culinary specialties that are offered here are grilled peppers and cecina de vaca (dried beef), gallo de corral turresilano (free range cockrel), bacalao a la fonda (cod with crayfish), and el manjar de la Vega (a type of fromage frais dessert).
