By the spring of Selores stands this lovely home, a fine XIX century house, which a delightful english-speaking couple have restored creating three self-catering apartments that blend the charm of traditional construction with modern comfort for all seasons. Each has a relaxing home-away-from-home feel and is decorated very tastefully and thoughtfully. Exposed beams, tiled floors, stone walls and natural tones add to the cosy ambience. Each has a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, all utensils and dining table with chairs. The living room has a cosy sofa, armchairs, side lamps and drinks table. All have tv, telephone, central heating, two sets of bed linen & towels. There is also a laundry-room with w/machines and a tumble dryer. Private parking. Ideal for those who love the countryside and who will no doubt benefit from owner, Guillermos´, indepth knowledge and love of the area. Excellent restaurants, cosy taverns and lovely small hamlets nearby.

Additional information

The greatest attractions in Cantabria are its contrasts: green valleys, towering peaks, and blue waters. The coastal scenery is lovely, often lined with fine beaches, little resorts and picturesque fishing villages. There is one world that revolves around agriculture and cattle-raising, the other centres around fishing. The coats of arms displayed on the stately homes are reminders of a proud past, while in the valleys, enclosed between mountains, rural life goes on as usual.

The coastal fringe of Cantabria from east to west is dotted with historical and tourist towns such as Castro Urdiales, Laredo, Noja and in the captial, Santander, with its lovely beaches and splendid bay. Further along towns such as Comillas, San Vicente de la Barquera and Santillana del Mar are particularly nice. Inland, the Liebana valley with Potes and Mogrovejo, and Cabuerniga valley, where we find Carmona and Barcena Mayor whih have remained unchanged for centuries.
