This property is a luxury hotel in Barcelona close to all the city's major attractions. It was built in 1992 keeping the façade of the former Palacio Vedruna. At night it is well lit and shines majestically from its favourable position close to one of Barcelona's most exciting streets, Paseo de Gracia.
The hotel is decorated with a mix of contemporary and classic styles, using the finest quality materials. To complement the décor, there are over 100 antique kilims, 17th and 18th-century English and French furniture, and many sculptures from the 2nd to 7th centuries. Every of the 80 guest rooms and 40 private suites are fully equipped with air-conditioning, telephones, fax-modem connection, satellite TV, CD player, safe and mini bar. Other amenities include a sauna and small gymnasium, a rooftop swimming pool, a private museum of impressive Egyptian artefacts, valet parking and 24-hour room service.
There are three restaurants: the exclusive East 47 Bar & Restaurant for contemporary cuisine, a restaurant on the rooftop for lunch and dinner during the summer, and a restaurant for banquets and where breakfast is served every morning.
This hotel is located in Barcelona next to Paseo de Gracia, one of the city's most important thoroughfares. The hotel is ideally placed for exploring the main attractions of this wonderful Spanish city. Go to nearby Mirador del Alcalde for a panoramic view before venturing to the Sagrada Familia (the unfinished church). At Barri Gótic the true age of this city is revealed in the remains from the Roman Cathedral.

Additional information

Barcelona is without doubt one of Europes most exciting cities. It is a place of extraordinary architectural dazzle, achieved by what has been called both Catalan Art Nouveau and Modernisme, by architects Gaudi, Domenech i Montaner and Puig i Cadafalch.

Monumental sculptures by local masters like Joan Miro adorn public spaces, and museums house extraordinary treasures ranging from works of the ancient Romans to those of Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali.

The city is further enhanced by brightly coloured outdoor markets, a magnificent Mediterranean port where yachts sway peacefully, and a plentiful array of stylish restaurants. Needless to say, the nightlife is splendid.
