Country House:
Quality bed & breakfast. Mainly historic homes and restored
farmhouses in scenic rural settings. All have en-suite bedrooms. Many will provide
evening meals on request and some have a guest´s kitchen available at a small supplement.
Country Hotel:
Quality small hotels (often historic towers, small
palaces, manor houses) situated in scenic rural locations. Usually have a bar/café
and restaurant.
Country Inn:
Quality small hotels (often historic posadas, manor
houses, small palaces) situated in or beside villages and towns. Usually have
a bar/café but not always a restaurant.
Central Hotel:
Quality hotels, both modern and historic, located
in the centre of main cities and towns. Usually have a bar/café and restaurant.
Most have private parking which must be paid for locally.
Self Catering:
Private houses or apartments, in a range of locations,
all self contained with fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette. Capacity at each varies.
Paradors:
Government run hotel chain, often located in extraordinary
natural settings or beautiful historical and artistic surroundings. They include
former palaces, ancient convents, medieval castles and monasteries.
