Arrive in Bilbao, collect your included rental car and drive to Lezama. This small village is located in the Ayala Valley, 30 minutes from Bilbao city. From this location you can easily visit Bilbao, the medieval city of Vitoria, historical villages like Artzeniega and Quejana or go walking in the countryside. Dinner & breakfast included on both days.
Day 3, 4 & 5: 3 nights at Caserío TBC14 near the village of Aia, province of Gipuzkoa. Breakfast only included.
Drive North East to the Urola Coast. Aia is a small typical village set on a beautiful hillside, not far from the town of Zarautz, where the longest beach in the Basque Country can be found. From here you can explore the nearby fishing towns of Getaria and Zumaia, the beautiful city of San Sebastian, the Txingudi Bay and the medieval town of Hondarribia. Also, cross the border and visit the French Pays Basque, the Navarran Pyrenees, etc.
Day 6 & 7: 2 nights at the Hotel RIO11 in the village of Laguardia, in the Rioja Wine Region.
Drive south to the Rioja Region to stay in this lovely medieval village. Your host is a trained chef and canl help you arranging visits at the local wineries including the hotelīs own . You can visit the nearby towns of Haro, Labastida, Logroņo, enjoy the spa at Arnedillo, play golf at a course designed by Severiano Ballesteros or explore the dinosaur trails in Enciso. Breakfast daily and dinner on one night only.
