HIGHLIGHTS: This Parador allows you to enjoy the silence and calm of a unique spot, surrounded by mountains and with lovely views of Sau Lake. From the Parador, it is possible to follow walking routes through the area. A must-see is San Pere de Casserres Monastery. Casserres is a former castle (there are records of a church dedicated to Sant Pere already in the 10th century) of the viscounts of Osona-Cardona, who founded the monastery around 1005. The nearby town of Vic offers interesting sights such as the Vic Episcopal Museum, the cathedral bell tower and crypt, Queralt Bridge, Montcada Castle, Sant Sixt Church and the Albergueria (once a hospital for the poor). The streets of the old quarter call out to be explored. Another possibility is nearby Barcelona, not to be overlooked during this break.
HIGHLIGHTS: On the top of the hill, the castle encompasses the impressive "Colegiata de Sant Vicenç", a perfect example of the roman - catalonian style; also interesting to visit are the ruins of the viscount¿s castle (XII ¿ XIII centuries), where the Parador is located, and the tower ¿De la Minaya¿. The Salt Mountain has been declared Patrimony of Mankind by the UNESCO. More interesting places to visit are: Fábricas del Paperer (1899) and La Costa (1879), close to the Cardener river.
HIGHLIGHTS: In Seu you can explore Santa Maria d'Urgell Cathedral and the Diocesan Museum. Another must-see is Canonges Street, with its arcades and shops. The Segre Olympic Park in Seu is just the place for sports and recreation, offering sports such as canoeing and rafting in facilities which were used for the 1992 Olympic Games, and which are still vibrant and busy today. The Cadi-Moixero Nature Reserve offers unsurpassed beauty, allowing you to discover this region’s natural resources on foot. You can also take advantage of your time at the Parador to visit nearby Andorra and enjoy a day’s shopping. Another option is the water park. Caldea is the largest thermal leisure center in southern Europe, with 25,000 m2 for you to relax and enjoy in while also benefiting your health.
HIGHLIGHTS: On your journey from Seu to Vielha you will discover the beauty of the Pyrenees. In the Aran Valley, we recommend the Romanesque Route, allowing you to explore such places as Bossost, with its Era Mair de Diu dera Purificacion Church; Salardu, with Sant Andreu Church; and Arties, with Santa Maria Church. Aiguestortes and Estany de Sant Maurice National Park is so incredibly beautiful and majestic that its ability to surprise visitors knows no limits. Any season of the year, the national park offers you all the immense beauty of nature. Another must-see is the spa at the Parador itself, where you can incorporate time for rest and relaxation into your trip.
