HIGHLIGHTS: Hondarribia is one of the most beautiful fishermen villages on the Cantabrian Coast. We want to highlight its beautiful centre of the town, with its Puerta de Sta. María and its Calle Mayor (Main Street), with old "casonas" (houses). Among them, the Town Hall, the house of the painter Zuloaga, the Iriarte house and many more are especially interesting. Walking these streets is a true pleasure, especially if we combine it with the opportunity of enjoying the rich gastronomy. Visitors should also not miss visiting the port. San Sebastián, in only a few kilometres distance, should be a must for the visitor: a walk on the Concha Beach or through the old parte is only some items to enjoy in this beautiful town. Hondarribia is also located close to France and is a good starting point for trips to the French Atlantic Coast.
HIGHLIGHTS: The Parador de Argómaniz is only in a few kilometres distance from Vitoria-Gasteiz. This town is offering a high quality of life without any doubt, with a large number of green areas. Visitors will find numerous museums in the city. All of them are located in buildings that may be visited for their own beauty. We may point out Artium, the Basque Museum for Contemporary Art, the Museum of Sacred Arts, the Museum of Natural Sciences or BIBAT, the Fournier Museum for Playing Cards and the Archaeological Museum. Visitors should not forget the beautiful cathedral of Sta. María or the medieval centre of the town, the churches of San Miguel and San Pedro, and the tower of San Vicente, the Villasuso Palace or the Montehermoso Palace.
HIGHLIGHTS: The town is home to the parish church of San Pedro. In the surrounding area there are any number of interesting coastal, fishing towns including Laredo, Castro Urdiales and Santona. Another option is to make the town’s natural surroundings the focal point of your trip, with visits to the Cabarceno Nature Wildlife Reserve or Anson Valley. Santander, the beautiful Cantabria capital and Bilbao, with the Guggenheim Museum, are other attractions easily visited from Limpias.
HIGHLIGHTS: This majestic mountain range is located north of the Cordillera Cantábrica, and it is one of the most spectacular and beautiful mountain ranges of the whole Peninsula. Within the Picos de Europa, you may enjoy the National Park of the same name. The Parador is an excellent and privileged place to stay at if you want to know this spectacular natural landscape. Thanks to the cable ca of Fuente Dé, located close to the Parador, we may ascend in a very comfortable way to the heart of the central massif (also called "Urrieles") or to the "Puertos de Áliva" mountain pass. The staff of the Parador will suggest you many routes to enjoy of this spectacular surroundings and give you the necessary recommendations.
HIGHLIGHTS: These lands are the foremost expression of the essence of Asturias. In the town of Cangas de Onis we recommend visiting the Roman bridge, Santa Cruz Chapel and Cortes Palace. Nearby is the Picos de Europa National Park where you can visit Casa Dago (visitors’ center for the Picos de Europa National Park). The Royal Residence of Covadonga is another of the area’s highlights, along with the nearby Covadonga Lakes (Enol and Ercina), and the amazing route of the Cares River Gorge.
HIGHLIGHTS: Near Vilalba, highlights include the natural areas along the Magdalena and Ladra rivers and the Alligal Medicinal Pool (Charca Medicinal), which has thermal waters. We also recommend visiting the Museum of Prehistory and Archeology, Cospeito (10 km.), Lagunas de Valverde (10 km.), and Mondonedo (25 km.), as well as the cathedral and Diocesan Museum.
