The beautiful 4 star Parador de Trujillo is located in the monumental town of Trujillo; the birthplace of the famous conqueror of Peru, Francisco Pizarro, in the former 16th century Santa Clara convent which conserves the monastic atmosphere of peace and quiet

Two beautiful cloisters standout inside; one Renaissance with arches and columns, the other offering a note of luminosity which embellishes the surroundings.  Ideal for rest and leisure, the Parador preserves its monastic style common rooms: spacious, quiet and pleasant living rooms: noble bedrooms in which wood takes precedence and a bar located in the former refectory.

The bedrooms surround the central courtyard of granite with orange and lemon trees, tables and chairs.

The dining room is a beautiful arched room and here the tempting dishes served include tomato and cumin soup, eggs lightly scrambled with fresh local produce, roast suckling pig and Iberian sausages and hams.
