This morning, your journey takes you beyond Madrid to the captivating city of Toledo. After breakfast, your private driver will transfer you to the train station, where you’ll board the high-speed AVE train for the short but scenic ride south.

Toledo’s old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a tapestry of cultures and faiths. This morning you leave Madrid, travelling by high-speed train direct to Seville. You and your luggage will be transferred privately from your Madrid hotel to Madrid Atocha train station. Then upon arrival in Seville, your private driver willbe waiting to take you to your centrally-located 4-star hotel.

Seville, where the sound of flamenco floats in the air,  is the capital of Andalusia and one of Europe’s sunniest cities – hence the orange trees that grow there abundantly. The combination of Moorish, Mudejar, Renaissance and Baroque architecture through the city centre’s compact maze of narrow streets really is a sensory overload by day or by night. The entire city comes to a standstill for the Feria in April and Easter week when its love of tradition and sense of community is celebrated. For the rest of the year, it’s a perfect place to unwind, explore and of course, eat! You’ll find the same influences you see in the architecture has also trickled through to the food. Don’t be surprised to see film crews around. The Games of Thrones series has been filmed here and the city is attracting a lot of attention from a new fan base.

Enjoy lunch near your hotel where you can sample some of Andalusia’s delicious fish dishes, fresh vegetables and its world-class olive oils. After lunch, allow your nose to guide you – follow the evocative scents and colours. Enjoy the different light and the big skies you can only find in Andalusia.

This afternoon, your expert local guide will meet you at your hotel for a walking tour of Seville’s Barrio Santa Cruz (the old Jewish quarter). Visit the cathedral from 1506 that houses the remains of Christopher Columbus. Standing on the site of a great mosque, the structure features mudejar, gothic, renaissance, baroque and neo-classical styles, as well as the old minaret of the Arab mosque. It’s a wonderful space to visit.  Enjoy the sublime Patio de Los Naranjos (Courtyard of the Orange Trees) beside the cathedral. Also tour the Alcazar, site of the marriage between Carlos V and Isabel of Portugal in 1526. Its two beautiful outdoor courtyards are spectacular and indoors the tapestries and furniture are superb.

Granada, Spain

After breakfast, meet your expert private guide at the Alhambra for a private tour of the world-famous Alhambra Palace and the adjoining Generalife Gardens.

Perched on the hill of La Sabika, overlooking the Darro Valley, the Alhambra is a sprawling palatial city built between the 13th and 15th centuries by the Nasrid Sultans. Enclosed by solid walls, it stands as a masterpiece of late Muslim architecture in Spain—a vibrant expression of artistic styles flourishing when much of Europe was still emerging from the Dark Ages.

The Alhambra complex comprises several distinct parts: the Arab Palaces, including the Comares Palace with its stunning Los Arrayanes Courtyard and the Hall of Ambassadors; the Palace of the Lions (Los Leones), famed for its intricately decorated courtyard and magnificent halls such as Las Dos Hermanas and Los Reyes, adorned with exquisite plasterwork and geometric mocarabe motifs; the military Alcazaba fortress; the fortified city or Medina; and the Generalife Gardens—the summer residence of the Sultans and one of the oldest surviving examples of Moorish gardens, renowned for its water features, fountains, and tranquil courtyards.

Water plays a central role here, creating a paradise-like atmosphere, and remnants of the Arab Baths still survive within the complex. The Alhambra also captivated the Christian Emperor Carlos V, who commissioned the construction of his Renaissance palace within the grounds, now home to the Alhambra and Fine Arts Museums.

Both the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, celebrated for their extraordinary artistic and historical significance.

After lunch, continue with a guided walking tour of Granada’s atmospheric Old Quarter. You’ll explore the Albaicín, the ancient Moorish district largely unchanged since the 15th century, with its narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses, and vibrant gypsy culture. From Plaza San Nicolás, enjoy one of the most iconic panoramic views of the Alhambra Palace complex, perched gracefully on a distant hill.

Your Dobla de Oro Pass provides you access to some of Granada’s most important monuments, including the Alhambra—the Nasrid PalacesGeneralife Gardens, and Alcazaba—at your scheduled time, as well as the nearby Moorish Palaces.

Strolling through the old Jewish quarter, you’ll feel transported back to the 10th century, as narrow streets and quaint patios remain much as they were centuries ago.

The highlight is a visit to the Mosque-Cathedral (Mezquita), one of Andalusia’s most celebrated landmarks and among the largest mosques ever built in the Islamic world. Constructed between 786 and 788 by Abd ar-Rahman, it underwent numerous expansions before being consecrated as a cathedral in 1236 after the Christian conquest—a remarkable blend of religious architecture.

You will also see the Synagogue, built in 1314, a rare and exquisitely preserved example of Mudejar design, notable for being the only synagogue in Spain from that era to remain a Jewish place of worship. Nearby stands the Almodóvar Gate, locally known as the ‘Gate of the Jews,’ and a monument dedicated to the great Jewish philosopher and physician Maimonides.

After your guided tour, enjoy some free time to have lunch and explore independently. We recommend a stroll across the iconic Roman Bridge spanning the Guadalquivir River or a visit to the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, a 14th-century Mudejar palace with stunning gardens that once served as the seat of the Inquisition’s Tribunal. Don’t miss the charming courtyard patios scattered throughout the old town, a signature feature of Córdoba’s historic charm.

Barcelona, Spain

After a hearty breakfast, meet your expert private guide and driver for a day exploring the artistic soul of Barcelona—a city transformed by the visionary genius of Antoni Gaudí, the leading figure of Catalan Modernism.

This soaring basilica, still under construction after more than a century, reflects Gaudí’s unique fusion of nature, faith, and form. He devoted himself to it from 1915 until his death in 1926, even living on-site in his final year. Today, his remains rest in the crypt, and the evolving masterpiece continues to honour his legacy.

Next, head to Parc Güell, one of Barcelona’s most beloved landmarks. With its colourful mosaics, whimsical creatures, and panoramic views over the city, the park captures Gaudí’s imaginative spirit. He also lived here from 1906 to 1925, and his former residence now houses the Gaudí House Museum.
