WHY THIS JOURNEY WORKS
The route moves through Morocco in a logical sequence. The imperial cities of the north establish the historical and cultural foundation. Heading south, the landscape shifts from cedar forest to desert plateau, with the Sahara as the natural centrepiece of the trip.
Longer driving days include worthwhile stops along the way. By Marrakech, you will have covered the full range of what Morocco offers — imperial heritage, mountain scenery and desert silence — with the energy of the Red City as a strong finish.
NOTE
Walking in the medinas in Morocco involves uneven cobblestones and narrow streets; comfortable footwear is recommended.
