Depart Oviedo for Cangas de Onis (Cangas), one of the main gateways to the Picos de Europa mountains. Cangas has an impressive Roman bridge, a dolmen and the 15th century Chapel of Santa Cruz. On the way visit Nava and the Cider Museum: Infiesto, famous for the Virgen de la Cueva and the caves and Arriondas, with its spectacular panoramic views from the Mirador del Fito. Once in the Picos de Europa mountains you arrive in Covadonga with its Neo-Romanesque basilica. Afterwards enjoy a splendid, mountainous scenic drive to the Covadonga lakes.
