Santiago de Compostela, Spain

Day trip to Finisterre, the Spanish Land's End. The headlands and cliffs are majestic and the sunsets are equally impressive. Santiago de Compostela, Spain

A full day in Santiago to explore the sights. Santiago de Compostela is the third most important place of pilgrimage after Jerusalem and Rome. Around the famous Plaza del Obradoiro is the 11th century Cathedral, the present-day plateresque style Parador which was once an inn and hospital for sick pilgrims, and the Baroque Convent of San Martino Pinario. What's more, the whole old city of Santiago, with its bustling small shops, cafes, and mouth-watering seafood restaurants is a delight to wander around. Accommodation of your choice in Santiago.

Rias Baixas Galicia, Spain

The Rias Baixas (Lower Estuaries) consist of 4 large rias (or estuaries). This area along the west & southwest coast of Galicia is renowned for its beautiful scenery and beaches, safe bathing, and a mild climate. Here you also find some of Spain’s most fertile fishing grounds and exquisite seafood. Visit the Isle of La Toja, one of the most stylish resorts in Galicia known for it´s wonderful spa´s and healing waters, joined by a bridge to the charming fishing port and resort of O Grove. Well worth a visit too is Cambados, home of the delicious Albariño white wine. Accommodation of your choice in the Rias Baixas area.

Rias Baixas Galicia, Spain

Spend the morning visiting the Islas Cies islands, with white sandy beaches, clear water and a bird sanctuary. They can be reached by ferry from Baiona. Here there still stand the remains of a royal fortress on the promontory and a 12th century collegiate church. Later visit Santa Tecla, near the mouth of the river Mino, with wonderful examples of Celtic art. Accommodation of your choice in the Rias Baixas area.

Lugo, Spain

Today travel to the impressive city of Lugo, which was an important centre under the Roman occupation. The city walls have been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Other sights to savour include the Romanesque Cathedral, the whole of the old quarter and the Town Hall Square. Accommodation of your choice in Lugo.

Lugo, Spain

A day trip to the Costa Lucense coast, in the Rias Altas (Higher Estuaries) area. On the way we may stop in Mondonedo, an old provincial capital on one of the Road to Santiago routes, and its museum which houses works by El Greco and Zurbaran.
The headlands and cliffs of the Rias Altas are dotted with many charming fishing villages, such as Ribadeo and the famous beach of “As Catedrais” and Foz. You may also wish to visit the medieval walled town of Viveiro, which still preserves much of its old world charm. Accommodation of our choice in delightful Lugo.

Ourense, Spain

Leave for Orense with a stop in O Cebreiro, close to the border with Leon and the Sierra Os Ancares mountains. A miracle is said to have happened in the 9th century church.
